This architectural marvel is created in the middle of nature by Antoni Gaudí, and commissioned by Count Güell, who wanted him to design an elegant estate with family homes. Today Park Güell is a public park and it belongs to the city of Barcelona.
Your guide will show you the big staircase dominated by the dragon, one of the most characteristic and iconic images of Barcelona. The dragon is decorated with colorful mosaics in the Catalan style known as 'trencadís'.
The park is arranged around a large central square bordered by a snaking, 'trencadís'-covered bench.
